All the doom and gloom in the press can easily send you into panic but remaining positive and focused will allow you to reflect on all your achievements made in 2008. It’s time to get creative, it’s time to boost your confidence allowing you to face your challenges head on.
Confidence is key and it’s time to get a little thrifty on the shopping front!
1. Go on have a go at customisation - You think you’re not creative but there is a creative diva in every single one of you….. or I’m sure there’s a mother, sister, friend you can get together with over a glass of wine and get all creative, create a ‘sisterhood’ it’s a wonderful way to catch up and ward away the doom and gloom!
Over the next few months I’ll be uploading pictures of my own customisations which may inspire you to take that little black jumper and turn it into a piece that will inspire others and of course you’ll love!

2. A girlie clothes sale– Get the girls together as many as you can gather and host an event which is aimed at eco style, there maybe items in your wardrobe which you have fallen out of love with and one of the girls may love it and wish to pay you a small price or a possible swap with one of their items. Contact them now I can guarantee you’ll have a great time.
3. Dress Agencies - A few months ago I came across a wonderful dress agency in the Market town of Malton called ‘The Frock Exchange’. The great thing about this business is that it is laid out like a heavenly little boutique all garments are hung on wooden hangers, washed and steamed, you really wouldn’t think that you were buying second hand clothes. Lorraine has got her boutique to a tee stocking very select items which she knows will fly off the rails. It’s a great place to pick up a bargain and a great place to sell some of your unwanted items and make a little cash.
I’m sure similar agencies are within your area.
Hope these little tips will set you on your way to keeping your hand in fashion and remain stylish whilst tightening the purse strings.
